We’re so excited to celebrate with the little ones!

We’ve set up a fun kids’ area in the Grand Ballroom and hired a childcare specialist. Children will eat with you during dinner, with age-appropriate activities available before and after the meal so they can have fun nearby.

Meet Kristen Cabrera,

Our childcare specialist

“ Hi! I’m Kristen, and I’m so excited to be part of Paloma and Lem’s special day as a childcare specialist. I’m a School Counselor in Brookline Public Schools and have years of experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to teens. I’m also CPR and First Aid certified, with a background as a lifeguard, so safety and care are always a priority.

I love spending time with kids, whether we’re playing games, doing crafts, or simply helping them feel comfortable and cared for during the celebration. I’m here to make sure the little ones have a great time and to give parents peace of mind so you can fully enjoy the day. “

“ I’m especially excited to meet the Kuralic, Sanchez, Guyot, and Flavell families and to join in on the fun at Oceanview of Nahant with arcade games, paper airplanes, and other great activities.

What’s available

  • During cocktail hour (5–6 PM)

    • we’ll have six Arcade-style games and Tic Tac Toe, Checkers, and Chess

  • We’ll also provide small toy kits, crayons, and paper for open-ended play

  • After dinner (~7 PM),

    • a kids’ table in the Grand Ballroom will offer Legos, paper airplanes, and sensory toys

Why we chose Kristen?

We met Kristen through care.com, a service that matches parents with caregivers who have verified childcare credentials. All caregivers have passed a background check, and a separate safety team reviews job posts and caregiver profiles.

We found Kristen to be a dedicated and qualified candidate, with extensive babysitting and childcare experience, and a genuine commitment to children’s well-being. At 25 years old, she has a BS in Psychology from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Education from the University of Maryland, with a special focus on Counselor Education, School Counseling, and Guidance Services. She works with children every day as a school counselor and has experience with all ages. We’ve found Kristen to be a pleasure to be around—relatable, kind, and committed to her work.
